Vol. 24 No. 1

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - A CO. MEATH ESTATE.

asked the Minister for Fisheries whether the Land Commission proposes to take over the Collins Estate, Headstown, near Castletown, Navan; and, if so, whether steps will be taken to enlarge the uneconomic holdings on that estate.

The lands referred to in this question were purchased in 1919 for £10,500 by trustees for the benefit of 19 persons, among whom the lands have been divided, and who have applied under Section 42 of the 1927 Act to the Land Commission to acquire these lands and resell same to the persons for whose benefit same was acquired. The form of application was received by the Land Commission on the 1st March last, and the matter will be dealt with as soon as possible.
