Vol. 25 No. 7

CEISTEANNA—QUESTIONS. ORAL ANSWERS. - CLAIM FOR ADDITIONAL LAND (CO. GALWAY).

asked the Minister for Fisheries if he will state the reason why the claim for an addition to his holding by Nicholas Canney, Kilmaine (an uneconomic holder), out of the Kilshanny Estate, Kilconey, Tuam, Co. Galway, recently divided, has been refused.

The lands of Kilshanvy are comprised in the untenanted lands on the estate of General A. C. Lewin which have been acquired by the Land Commission, and they have not yet been divided. As I already informed Deputy Fahy yesterday in reply to a similar question, the claims of all deserving applicants will be considered when the lands are being divided.

Is the Parliamentary Secretary aware that this man received an intimation from the Land Commission that his claim has been turned down?

He has received no official notification from the Land Commission that his claim has been turned down.
