Vol. 43 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Reconstruction of Glandore Road.

asked the Minister for Lands and Fisheries if he is aware that the reconstruction of the Clounties, Knockarahane, Droumbeg road, which leads to the new R.C. Church at Glandore, Co. Cork, was approved of last March by the Irish Land Commission, but that nothing has been done so far in the matter, and whether, in view of the great distress prevailing in the district and the necessity of having this road reconstructed, he will take steps to have the work carried out at an early date.

An application for the reconstruction of the Clounties, Knockarahane-Droumbeg road was among those considered by the Land Commission in connection with the expenditure of moneys entrusted to them out of funds provided under the Relief Act, 1931, but having regard to the number and cost of other works undertaken it was not found possible to carry out the work referred to.
