Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Acquisition and Division of Roscommon Lands.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state what progress has been made in connection with the acquisition of the McDermott estate, Kinnitty, Roscommon, and when it is likely a scheme for the division of the lands will be prepared.

The Deputy's question refers to the lands of Kinnitty formerly the property of Mr. Henry G. McDermott and now owned by Mr. Myles Feerick. An objection by the owner to the proposed acquisition of these lands is pending for hearing before the Land Commission Court and it is not possible at present to state whether or when the lands will be acquired.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state what progress has been made in connection with the acquisition of the Comyn and Raftery estate (approximately 300 acres) in Miltown, Roscommon.

The Land Commission have no proceedings for the acquisition of the Comyn and Raftery estates at Miltown, County Roscommon, but the cases have been noted for consideration.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will consider the advisability of acquiring the Levinge estate, Newpark, Kiltoom, Roscommon, in view of the large number of uneconomic holdings in the locality.

Inquiries are being made regarding the lands of Carrowmurragh and Carnagh East, owned by the representatives of Frederick Levinge, deceased.
