Vol. 123 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Establishment of New Industries.

Pádraig Ó Cuinneáin

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he is prepared to consider the desirability of making money available to the Irish Industrial Development Association to help in the setting up of new industries in the country, giving discretion to the association in the allocation of such money.

I presume the Deputy, when he refers to the Industrial Development Association, means the Industrial Development Authority. As I mentioned in a reply to a somewhat similar question addressed to me by Deputy Lehane on the 23rd instant, this suggestion cannot be accepted without reference to its full implication, and a final decision has not yet been made.
