Vol. 130 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Limerick Sewerage and Water Schemes.

Mr. Crowley

asked the Minister for Local Government whether he will state if plans for a water and sewerage scheme for Knocklong have been submitted to his Department by the local authority; and, if so, whether they have been approved.

I have not received any proposals from the sanitary authority for water and sewerage schemes for Knocklong.

Mr. Crowley

asked the Minister for Local Government whether he has received plans for a water and sewerage scheme for Castleconnell; and, if so, if any action has been taken in relation thereto.

Plans for a water supply scheme to serve Castleconnell have been approved and the submission of full contract documents is awaited.

The provision of a sewerage scheme must await the installation and satisfactory operation of a water supply. No proposals in regard to a sewerage scheme have been submitted by the sanitary authority.
