Vol. 130 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Newbridge Post Office (County Kildare).

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs whether, in view of the importance of the town of Newbridge as an industrial centre, and the fact that the population of the town now exceeds 3,000, he will convert the Newbridge Post Office from a scale payment office to a salaried sub-office so as to provide improved services for the townspeople.

The question of the status of Droichead Nua Post Office is being considered at present, following the retirement of the sub-postmistress. I am not yet in a position to say what the decision will be.
