The above figures show particulars of development work brought to completion during the years mentioned. It will, of course, be understood that in respect of certain types of work, particularly provision of new automatic and auto-manual exchanges and provision of underground trunk circuits, a considerable portion of the work indicated was either planned or actually commenced in previous years.
