A continuous record is not maintained of the exact volume of mails despatched or delivered. An estimate of traffic for the calendar years 1951 and 1952 which is based on periodic returns is, however, available, and I propose, with your permission, a Leas-Cheann Comhairle, to have a tabular statement containing the estimated figures circulated with the Official Report.
