Vol. 142 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Handwoven Donegal Tweeds.

asked the Minister for Lands if he will state if any results have been achieved as a result of the conference between Gaeltarra Éireann and the Mayor of Boston, and if he will indicate the extent of orders placed by the mayor for handwoven Donegal tweeds.

There was no conference between Gaeltarra Eireann and the Mayor of Boston and the mayor has not placed orders for handwoven tweeds.

The Parliamentary Secretary surely noticed a report appearing in the daily papers to the effect that he did place orders and that a conference was held.

Mr. Lynch

If such a report appeared I have no knowledge of it and if it did it was entirely wrong.

We all know there was a big order placed by the Mayor of Boston. We cannot all be wrong.

Mr. Lynch

The Deputy ought to reread these reports.
