asked the Minister for Health if he will state the present position in regard to a proposal to have a new dispensary erected at Mount Collins, County Limerick.
Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Limerick Dispensaries.
I received a proposal from Limerick County Council for the acquisition of a site for the erection of a dispensary depot at Mount Collins but as I was advised that the existing dispensary premises are adequate. I suggested to the local authority that the provision of the new dispensary might be deferred and priority given to the replacement of the unsatisfactory main dispensary in the county. The local authority has agreed to adopt this course.
asked the Minister for Health if he will state the present position in regard to a proposal to have a new dispensary erected at Tournafulla, County Limerick.
I understand that the local authority have not yet been able to secure a suitable site for a dispensary depot at Tournafulla. They have, however, decided to proceed with the erection of the main dispensary in this dispensary district at Abbeyfeale and when the unsuitable building at Abbeyfeale has been replaced they propose to consider the question of proceeding in Tournafulla.
asked the Minister for Health if he will state the present position in regard to proposals to have new dispensary buildings erected at Athea, Abbeyfeale, Glin, Askeaton, Kilmeedy and Drumcollogher.
I have already approved the replacement of the dispensaries at the localities referred to by the Deputy and I understand that, with the exception of Kilmeedy and Abbeyfeale where sites have been acquired, the local authorities are at present seeking sites for the dispensaries.
