asked the Taoiseach if he will give a rough breakdown of the figure of 1,161,000 given in the trend of employment and unemployment in 1956 as the number of persons at work, distinguishing between (a) farmers, (b) relatives assisting on farms, (c) employees, (d) self-employed persons, and (e) others (non-agricultural employers, professional persons, etc.).

It is roughly estimated that the total of 1,161,000 persons at work in 1956 may be divided into the categories specified as follows:
