Up to 25th October, 189,000 tons of wheat were purchased by the mills on the basis of the prices for millable wheat. Of this quantity, 170,000 tons of sound wheat were purchased on behalf of An Bord Gráin. Only a negligible quantity of wheat was rejected by the mills.
