Vol. 171 No. 4

asked the Minister for Lands whether the Land Commission propose to institute proceedings for the acquisition of the Carter lands at Drehid, Carbury, County Kildare, for division among local uneconomic holders.

asked the Minister for Lands whether the Land Commission propose to institute proceedings for the acquisition of the Mackey lands at Drehid, Carbury, County Kildare, for division among local people.

asked the Minister for Lands whether the Land Commission propose to institute proceedings for the acquisition of the Murphy estate at Thomastown, Enfield, County Kildare, for division among local people.

I propose, with the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, to take Questions Nos. 38, 39 and 41 together.

No proceedings are contemplated by the Land Commission for the acquisition of any of these three estates.

Will the Minister say whether the acquisition of these estates was at any time under consideration by the Land Commission and whether the decision not to institute proceedings for their acquisition represents a decision by the Land Commission on the evidence before them?

In all three cases, the decision was made by the Land Commission. If the Deputy has any fresh information with regard to these estates, he should forward it to the Land Commission.
