Vol. 178 No. 8

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Corclough (Belmullet) School.

99.

asked the Minister for Education if in view of the fact that a site for a new school at Corclough, Belmullet, County Mayo, has already been acquired from the Land Commission and that the present national school is in a very bad condition, he will take steps to speed up the erection of the new school.

My Department has asked the Commissioners of Public Works for a report as to the suitability of the site which has been acquired for the erection of a new school at Corclough, Belmullet, County Mayo. If the site is acceptable, certain preliminary arrangements will have to be made before the stage is reached when a grant for the erection of the new school can be sanctioned. Every effort will be made to expedite the case as far as possible.
