In 1959 I sanctioned the acquisition of premises at Skibbereen to accommodate overflow enrolment from the existing vocational school. Plans for the conversion of these premises into a vocational school for girls were submitted to my Department on 21/2/1962 and are under examination at present. I expect that it will be possible to have a decision regarding the plans communicated to the Co. Cork Vocational Education Committee in the near future.
