Vol. 196 No. 10

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Wages of Curragh Camp Employees.

28.

asked the Minister for Defence what is the cause of the delay in conveying a decision to the trade union concerned in respect of their claim for increased wages on behalf of chefs, waiters and under-bailiffs employed at the Curragh Camp; and when a decision will be conveyed to the union.

The delay in reaching decisions on these applications is due to the time necessary for their full and adequate examination which is now almost concluded.

I hope to be in a position to have decisions conveyed before long.

Will the Minister bear in mind that this application was submitted in March last which surely seems an adequate period to process these applications fully?

I expect to have a result soon.
