I presume the Deputy is referring to the reply to a question on 5th April, 1967, about changes in the Consumer Price Index between mid-February, 1966, and mid-February, 1967.
The only comment I have to make on the trend, which has been mainly upwards, is that it is understandable when account is taken of factors such as increased costs of raw materials, which are mainly imported, necessary taxation increases and increased labour costs.
