asked the Minister for Justice if the Garda Commissioner has prepared bye-laws to replace the Dublin Traffic Bye-laws made in 1937; and whether any of these bye-laws deal with the prohibition of horse traffic in the central city area during peak hours.
Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Dublin Traffic Bye-Laws.
24.
I understand that bye-laws to replace the Dublin Traffic Bye-laws, 1937, are at an advanced stage of preparation. The relevant local authorities will be consulted before the draft bye-laws are submitted for the formal approval of the Minister for Local Government, who is empowered to refuse to approve of any particular bye-law or to make any modification therein as he thinks proper.
It is not possible to give, at this stage, particulars of the proposed bye-laws.
