Vol. 241 No. 10

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Dublin Roads.

98.

asked the Minister for Local Government when the remaining roads on the Glenageary Estate, Dublin will be taken in charge by the corporation.

I understand from Dún Laoghaire Corporation that inspection of the part of the Glenageary estate which has not yet been taken in charge will be undertaken within the next few weeks. At this stage it is not possible to say when the roads affected will be taken in charge.

99.

asked the Minister for Local Government when Dublin County Council will take in charge the roads known as Tara Crescent and Flower Grove, Dún Laoghaire.

I am informed by Dublin County Council that it is hoped that Tara Crescent will be taken in charge by the end of this year. The other road mentioned forms part of a section of estate development which has not yet been fully completed and no application has yet been received by the council to take this section in charge. I understand, however, that such an application is likely to be made within the next few months.

100.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he has sanctioned the plans of Dublin Corporation for the provision of access roads from Irishtown to the Pigeon House Fort industrial area.

Proposals from the corporation for a new road from Ringsend to Merrion Road via Ringsend Park and Sandymount and connecting with the new Port and Docks Board access road are under examination.
