Vol. 248 No. 15

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Dublin Traffic Lights.

102.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he is aware of the need for traffic lights at Kill-o'-the-Grange Crossroads, County Dublin; and if it is proposed to provide traffic lights at this point.

The provision of traffic light signals is a matter for the local authority acting at the request, or with the consent, of the Garda Commissioner and my Department is involved only in so far as road fund moneys may be used to finance the installation of such signals. I understand that there are traffic light signals at Kill-o'-the-Grange crossroads. The Deputy may have in mind the junction of Kill Avenue/Abbey Road/Rochestown Avenue. There are no proposals before my Department in connection with the provision of traffic light signals at the latter location.
