I am aware of the urgent need for houses in Athenry. With regard to the provision of local authority houses, I would refer the Deputy to my reply to Question No. 100 on the 4th February, 1971. I also understand that Galway County Council have recently agreed terms of purchase for another site on which they propose to provide developed sites for persons who wish to build their own houses.
