Grants allocated under the derelict site grant scheme are being paid as they fall due. The Deputy may, however, have in mind the suspension of new grant allocations which has been necessary for some time past, because of the high level of commitments already entered into and the limited funds available for servicing the scheme. I expect to be in a position in the near future to make a decision about allocations which have been deferred.
Is the Minister able to give any indication of the amount of money involved in the applications referred to?

It is a question of priorities. I do not think this work is deserving of the highest priority.
