The information at my disposal does not enable me to answer the question in the form in which it is put by the Deputy. However, I can say, in relation to the first part of the question, that the estimated total capital investment in grant-aided industries in Ireland in the ten years from 1960 to 1970 amounted to £145.2m. of which £39.2m. was invested in projects promoted entirely by Irish interests.
Regarding the second part of the question, the USA and EEC countries between them accounted for £67.1m. of the total investment figure quoted; the details are——
USA |
—£36.1m. |
Germany |
£12.9m. |
Holland |
£9.3m. |
France |
£7.8m. |
Italy |
£0.7m. |
Belgium |
£0.3m. |
Total EEC |
—£31.0m. |
