asked the Minister for Lands if there are any proposals for the acquisition of the Connaughton estate, Lowville, Ahascragh, County Galway.

The Land Commission have recently carried out a detailed inspection of this 166-acre property with a view to determining whether acquisition proceedings should be instituted. The report furnished is being studied and it is expected that there will be an early decision in the matter.

44.

asked the Minister for Lands if the Land Commission intend to sanction the sale of the Shaughnessy estate, Clooncurreen, Menlough, Ballinasloe, County Galway.

The Land Commission recently carried out a detailed inspection of this 42-acre property but decided not to proceed further in the matter and to consent to the sale of the lands to an adjoining farmer's son. I understand that there are only 11½ acres of good land on the holding.

45.

asked the Minister for Lands when the Land Commission intend to divide the Concagh, Mulryan and Comer estates, Clonlara South, Cloonmanda, Castlerea, County Galway.

Composite plans for allotment of these three properties, aggregating 92 acres, have been formulated and they are under active consideration just now.
