The training programmes agreed by Aer Rianta with BOAC in 1969 and KLM in 1971 provide for the carrying out of training at Shannon during the coming winter. KLM has just notified its intention to continue training; BOAC has not yet done so.
A three year training programme was completed by BEA at Shannon in October, 1971; the company has not made any approach about carrying out further training at the airport.
