Vol. 267 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Disability Benefit Claim.

76.

asked the Minister for Social Welfare why benefit was not paid to a person (details supplied) in Tullamore, County Offaly.

The person mentioned by the Deputy claimed disability benefit from my Department but as he has no Irish insurance since 1968 his claim could not be paid. As he said he had been employed in the United Kingdom details of his insurance there were requested from the United Kingdom Department of Health and Social Security but despite a number of pressing requests they have not been received. Immediately the information sought is received the benefit claim will be decided.
