Waterford Corporation have applied for a bridge order for a second bridge and, as part of the statutory procedure involved, they submitted to my Department a report by their consultants on the location and preliminary design of the proposed bridge. This is under technical examination by my Department. I expect to have to order a local public inquiry into the proposal. It is not possible to anticipate the outcome of these proceedings.
