The final decision as to the location of any industry is primarily a matter for the promoters.
However, projects already approved by the Industrial Development Authority for the Cobh/Carrigtwohill area have a significant female employment potential. Four of these projects, which are scheduled to start production this year, are expected to provide jobs for about 110 females, while another project, due to commence production next year should provide a further 300 jobs for females.
