Vol. 285 No. 11

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Galway School.

33.

asked the Minister for Education if there are any plans in his Department affecting the future of Omey Island national school, Claddaghduff, County Galway.

The number of school-going children on the island is too small to justify the continuance of aid to the school. In deference to the representations of the Reverend Manager, it has been decided, however, to retain the school for a further year until 30th June, 1976, to enable the one family concerned to make suitable arrangements for the education of their children on the mainland.
