I am advised that the existing source for the Ballymacward/Castleblakeney group water supply scheme would not be adequate to serve the extensions referred to by the Deputy. I understand that tests have been carried out on a proposed additional source. The results of these tests were received in my Department on 1st Dcember and are being examined. In the light of the results of the examination of the problems relating to the source, it will be necessary to investigate the economics of the scheme before grants may be allocated.
