The capital allocation to Louth County Council for the payment of house purchase loans and supplementary grants in 1975 was £750,000. Following reviews of the capital requirements of local authorities generally and a visit by an official of my Department to the council the allocation has been increased to £868,800. Expenditure by the council on the loan and grant schemes to date is £869,772. The council do not expect to make any further payments between now and 31st December next.

The capital allocation to Drogheda Corporation for the payment of house purchase and reconstruction loans and supplementary grants in 1975 is £500,000. Expenditure on the loan and grant scheme to date is £497,478. The corporation estimate that expenditure on the schemes between now and 31st December next will be £17,500.
