I assume that the Deputy's question refers to import authorisations issued under the national surveillance of certain types of footwear which came into operation in June, 1975. Records of goods actually imported under these authorisations are not maintained by my Department. Details of the amount of footwear covered by authorisations issued up to the end of 1975 are being compiled and if the Deputy repeats his question in a few weeks I shall let him have this information. However, it is a long-standing practice that the names of persons to whom licences have been issued by my Department are regarded as confidential.
