asked the Minister for Labour the income of the Redundancy Fund in 1978 from (a) employers, (b) employees, and (c) the Exchequer; and the estimated income in a full calendar year from the new proposed percentage of earnings contribution.
Written Answers. - Redundancy Fund.
256.
The estimated income to the Redundancy Fund from employers and employees in 1978 was £11.39 million. Of this, two-thirds would have been contributed by employers and one-third by employees. The Exchequer does not contribute to the income of the Redundancy Fund but bears the costs of administration. The estimated income to the fund in the first year from the proposed pay-related contributions is almost £11 million.
