asked the Minister for the Environment if he will specify the programme of priority now selected by him and his Department for the upgrading of our national primary road system, as a result of the transfer of resources consequent on EMS membership, as indicated by the Taoiseach in the Dáil on 21 December 1978, and if he will indicate (1) the particular route, (2) the section of the route, i.e. between X and Y location, (3) the standard of improvement proposed, (4) the cost of the proposed works, (5) the duration of the work period, (6) the commencement of each proposed improvement works, and (7) if any of these new road works will be financed directly or indirectly by the use of tolls.

I understand that an Tánaiste proposes to cover, in his Budget Statement, the question of the transfer of resources consequent on EMS membership. I am not in a position at this stage to give any further information on the subject.
