Vol. 316 No. 9

Written Answers. - Naul (County Dublin) National School.

231.

asked the Minister for Education in relation to Naul National School, Naul, County Dublin, the date on which the school was built, the type of sanitary facilities provided, the number and amount of any capital grants made to the school for the improvement of these facilities, the nature of the work on which any such grant is to be expended, and the plans, if any, to bring the school up to an acceptable standard of physical facilities.

According to my Department's records this school was built in 1834 and has water-flushed sanitation. A scheme of improvements, which included works to the toilets, has I understand, recently been carried out.

Grants have been made available over the years for the improvement of toilet facilities at the school. It is not the practice, however, to disclose details of the grants sanctioned in the case of individual schools.
