Under the Housing Regulations, 1980 (as amended), the latest date for completion of work and receipt, in the Department, of claims for payment was 30 June 1981. As this statutory requirement was not complied with in this case, a grant cannot be paid.

The Housing Regulations 1980 (as amended), which govern the payment of grants under this scheme require an applicant to establish that on or before 21 January 1980: (1) the work had commenced or (2) a contract for the carrying out of the work had been entered into by the person who made the application or (3) the necessary materials had been purchased.
The applicant has been asked to furnish evidence regarding the above and until this is received in the Department payment cannot be made.
