As announced in the budget, the option of sale to the Land Commission hitherto available under the farmers' retirement scheme has been suspended. As a commitment had not been entered into in this case before 10 February 1983, the application cannot be processed further.

asked the Minister for Agriculture when a £6,000 grant under the hardship fund will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Kerry in respect of his herd which was locked up due to brucellosis.
The person named by the Deputy qualifies for a grant of £2,200 (not £6,000) under the hardship fund and this will be paid shortly.
