(1) The names of the Rosabhíl Harbour Development Committee are Messrs. C.T. Ennis, S.J. Reynolds, P. C. Ó Doláin, R. McKeever, P. Ó Durcain, H. Murphy, P. Doyle, G. J. McDonell, A. Heskin, P. Ó Floinn, B. Callagy, S. McMahon, C.P. Lynch, B. Casburn, P.L. MacDonncadha, P. Mac-Donnchadha and D. Connolly.
(2) The committee met on 23 July 1980, 1 October, 1980, 21 January 1981, 23 February 1981, 1 April 1981, 14 May 1981 and 28 May 1981.
(3) The recommendations made by the committee to the Minister for Fisheries and Forestry relate to the carrying out of the following works in order of priority:— (i) Provision of lights on new pier; (ii) Repair of old pier; (iii) Provision of a temporary site for car and lorry park; (iv) Provision of temporary toilets; (v) Provision of temporary accommodation for gear and net stores; (vi) Site preparation of offices, net mending facilities, weigh-bridge, toilets, pound, public telephone etc.; (vii) Provision of sites for fish related industries; (viii) Provision of effluent disposal system; (ix) Construction of second pier; (x) Construction of port offices; (xi) Construction of permanent auction hall; (xii) Provision of boat repair facilities; (xiii) Construction of net and gear stores for renting to fishermen; (xiv) Construction of harbour master's house.
The Minister for Fisheries and Forestry has accepted the recommendations in full.
Items (i) to (v) have already been attended to but the works at (vi) to (xiii) are subject to the preparation of an overall development plan for the harbour. Item (xiv) is being attended to separately.
