Vol. 345 No. 11

Written Answers. - Grant and Mortgage Subsidy Payments.

287.

(Limerick West) asked the Minister for the Environment when a new house grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Limerick.

Following an inspection by my Department's inspector in this case, the application for a new house grant was rejected because the floor area of the house exceeds the maximum area allowable for grant purposes which is 125 sq. metres (1,346 sq. feet). The applicant has been so informed.

288.

asked the Minister for the Environment the situation regarding the payment of a new house mortgage subsidy to a person (details supplied) in County Westmeath.

The person named has been allocated a five-year mortgage subsidy. The first instalment of the subsidy was paid on 11 October, 1983. The second instalment cannot be claimed before 31 August 1984.

289.

asked the Minister for the Environment when a reconstruction grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Westmeath.

This grant will be paid shortly.

290.

asked the Minister for the Environment the position in regard to new house mortgage subsidy payments to a person (details supplied) in County Westmeath.

Payment of the mortgage subsidy cannot commence until at least 12 months have elapsed from the date of execution of the mortgage deed and the person named submits a claim form, completed and certified by his lending agency.

291.

Mr. Coughlan

asked the Minister for the Environment when a new house grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Donegal.

The grant will be paid shortly.

292.

asked the Minister for the Environment when a new house grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Dublin.

A grant will be paid when an inspection establishes that the house has been satisfactorily completed and occupied and that all the conditions applying to the grant scheme have been complied with. The inspection will be carried out as soon as possible.

293.

asked the Minister for the Environment when a £1,000 new house grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Cork.

There is no record in my Department of the receipt of an application for a new house grant from the person named.

294.

asked the Minister for the Environment if he will arrange to have a final inspection carried out with a view to the payment of a £1,000 new house grant and a mortgage subsidy to a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny as the request for an inspection was made five weeks ago.

The inspection will be carried out as soon as possible.

295.

asked the Minister for the Environment if he will arrange to have a mortgage subsidy paid to a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny as soon as possible as the subsidy was approved on 7 September 1982 and the claim has been submitted.

There is no record in my Department of the receipt of a completed claim form for payment of the mortgage subsidy from the person named. This form was sent to him in September 1982 when his application was approved. The details of repayments submitted are not sufficient to warrant payment of the subsidy.
