As the Deputy is aware, a review of the functions and future role of the Institute for Industrial Research and Standards has been undertaken by the National Board for Science and Technology. Pending consideration by the Government of the recommendations in the report, which I expect to receive shortly, I do not consider it appropriate to take any decision regarding the location of the institute's metrology and electronic facilities.
