Vol. 346 No. 9

Written Answers. - Group Water Schemes.

338.

asked the Minister for the Environment when approval for a group water scheme will be issued to a group (details supplied) in County Roscommon; the cost of the scheme; the number involved; and when it was approved by Roscommon County Council.

Approval of this group water scheme which will serve 198 houses was given by Roscommon County Council on 10 May 1982. The source of supply for the scheme will be the Mount Talbot Spring which is being developed by Roscommon County Council. Work on these headworks has commenced. The Department's inspector for the area is to meet with the group shortly to advise them regarding the seeking of up-to-date tenders and other matters related to the advancement of the group scheme.

I am not in a position at this stage to say what the cost of the scheme is or when the Certificate of Approval will be issued to the group.

asked the Minister for the Environment when approval for a group water supply will be issued to a group (details supplied) in County Roscommon; the cost of the scheme; the number involved; if a special contribution has been sought; and when it was approved by Roscommon County Council.

Design and design data for this group water scheme to serve 37 houses were approved, without a request for a special contribution, by Roscommon County Council on 21 September 1983. The cost of the scheme has not yet been estimated as officials of my Department are currently examining the design for the scheme.

I am not in a position at this stage to say when the certificate of approval will issue to the group.
