I should point out that these figures do not reflect the amount of aid which is due in respect of actual expenditure on these programmes in 1983 as aid from the European Social Fund is paid on a retrospective basis within 18 months of the completion of the programmes.
In regard to the total amount of money which was made available to Ireland from the ESF in respect of all vocational training schemes in 1983 I desire to point out that the Department of Labour are the national co-ordinating agency for the purpose of submission of claims and that, accordingly, such information should be sought from the Minister for Labour.
