A now house grant has been paid in this case but so far an application for a mortgage subsidy has not been received from the person named.

A new house grant will be paid when an inspection establishes that the house is satisfactorily completed and occupied and complies with all the other conditions of the grant scheme. The inspection will be arranged when the applicant notifies my Department that the house is complete and occupied.
Arrangements will be made for payment of the first instalment of the mortgage subsidy when the grant has been paid and the applicant submits the appropriate claim duly certified.

A new house grant cannot be paid in this case as the floor area of the house exceeds the statutory maximum area of 125 sq. meters (1,346 sq. ft.) allowable for grant purposes.
There is no record in my Department of the receipt of an application for a mortgage subsidy from the person named. In any case as the conditions that apply to the grant also apply to the mortgage subsidy such a subsidy is not payable in this case.
