The Deputy will be aware that DART has recently been opened at a cost of £113 million. Furthermore, the mainline carriage building project has got underway at Inchicore and will continue for the duration of the plan. Forty-three million pounds has been approved over the next three years for mainline rail. This renewal of the railway is being matched by the renewal of the bus fleet and the provision of £36 million over the next three years involves extensive renewal of the provincial bus fleet.
Far from running down CIE my aim is to give it a new beginning.
