Skibbereen Urban District Council recently submitted a proposal for a 15 house scheme at Pound Hill. Having examined the proposal my Department's inspector considered that the interests of the town and the prospective tenants would be better served by proceeding with a housing development on another site recently acquired by the urban district council. This matter is being pursued with the local authority.
