Vol. 358 No. 9

Written Answers. - Grant and Premium Payments.

629.

(Limerick West) asked the Minister for Agriculture when payment of the third phase of the scheme of premium for non-marketing of milk will be made to a person (details supplied) in County Limerick.

The third and final instalment of the premium will be paid to the person named shortly before his participation in the scheme ends in March 1986.

630.

asked the Minister for Agriculture when a farm modernisation scheme grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Carlow.

It is a condition for the payment of grants to development farmers under the farm modernisation scheme that an extract of farm accounts must be submitted for each year of the farm development plan.

The applicant in this case is a development farmer. As the relevant farm accounts extract has not been received for 1983 he has forfeited entitlement to grant-aid at the development rate and to the special aids available to development farmers. The applicant's entitlement is now limited to an interest subsidy over seven years equivalent to a 15 per cent capital grant. The first instalment of the interest subsidy becomes payable on 1 November. 1985.

631.

asked the Minister for Agriculture when a 1985 ewe subsidy will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Carlow.

The person named did not apply for the EC 1984-85 ewe premium before 15 March, the closing date for accepting application forms; and therefore under the relevant EC provisions cannot be considered for payment of premium.

632.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he will arrange for the immediate payment of 1984 cattle headage grants and calf premium grants to a person (details supplied) in County Galway.

The application of the person named will be processed when he produces documentary evidence of ownership of the lands and is registered as the herdowner.
