My Department in July 1985 authorised the Commissioners of Public Works to arrange for the invitation of tenders for the construction of the extension to Lisavaird national school, County Cork. When the commissioner's report on the tender competition has been received and examined in my Department, the question of placing a contract will be considered and a decision conveyed as soon as possible to the school authorities. It is not possible at this stage to say when building work on the extension may commence.
