The North Western Health Board has made an application to my Department for a capital grant to provide a nursing unit and other facilities at Tubbercurry, County Sligo and my Department is in correspondence with the board in order to clarify certain aspects of the proposal. Apart from the capital expenditure implications, it will be necessary to take other factors into account, including the running costs involved and I cannot say at this stage when it will be possible to make a decision on the project.
