Vol. 361 No. 8

Written Answers. - Medical Card.

131.

asked the Minister for Health if he will arrange for a medical card to be issued to a person (details supplied) in Dublin 12 who has a heart complaint and high financial outgoings.

Eligibility for a medical card is determined solely by the chief executive officer of a health board. Accordingly, in this instance, the Deputy's question has been referred to the chief executive officer, Eastern Health Board, with a request that the board examine the matter and reply directly to the Deputy as a matter of urgency.
